EXHIBIT 7 - Brochure
PHOTOSHOP: For my seventh project I elected to do a brochure for a business instead of a flyer since I had already done a flyer earlier in the semester. I made it with two photoshop documents using the A4 preset. I used rulers to divide my document into 3 equal spaces. The hardest part of making this brochure was working with the Idaho Endodontics logo. I wanted to get the tooth graphic out so I could use it in the background throughout the brochure as my repetition element. I opened it up in another photoshop window and made a layer mask of the E and part of the N. After doing this I was able to get rid of them by using the brush tool. After the two letters were out I had to fix the gap in the logo. I tried using the spot healing brush tool and content aware fill, but it didn't work so well. I eventually decided to paint it in with the brush tool and color match the sections using the eyedropper tool. After I painted it, I used the blur tool to blend the different colors together. I cut it out of the full logo and pasted it onto the brochure document and decreased the opacity. I used the gradient tool for the front page of the brochure and the text tool to put the rest of the info in. I struggled to design these parts and wouldn't mind some helpful feedback.
DESIGN: For repetition I put the tooth image from the main logo into the background throughout the rest of the brochure. I also used the eyedropper to sample the color in the logo and applied it to all of my text. For proximity, if I used a picture, I made sure the picture was close to the text that related to it. I went with a classic left-flush alignment on everything but the contact section on the back panel. I used a sans serif font for titles and a serif font for copy.
